stainless steel grade ASTM A312 Tp321 is a titanium stabilized alloy. The SS 321 Welded Pipe produced under specification ASTM A312 has been designed to resist intergranular corrosion, especially in high temperature settings. At a temperature between 800 to 1500°F, the more conventionally used austenitic stainless steel grades are susceptible to chromium carbide precipitation, unlike the ASTM A312 Gr.Tp321 which has higher creep strength as well as stress rupture properties. In addition, the 321 Stainless Steel Pipe has good toughness properties even at lower temperatures.
